Bagpuss and Emily are our 2 kittens. We aquired them on 26th October 2001. They were 9 weeks old at the time when we got them. They are British Shorthair Ginger Tabby cats. They are brother and sister and so get on very well together (well, most of the time!!). They are now a year old and are a lot bigger than when we got them!! They both enjoy sleeping considerably more than when they were lively kittens. Bagpuss's favourite hobby is eating and playfighting with a kitten that lives locally. Emily prefers to catch mice, frogs, birds, moths - virtually everything. She likes bringing them into the house and letting them run about until her owners find them and throw them out again.
Bagpuss eats a lot more food than Emily and is so slightly larger in build. He is quite adventurous but he does go into everything with both paws and doesn't think about the consequences!! We have had to rescue him from a number of scrapes already!!
Emily is quieter and smaller than Bagpuss. She is a bit more wary of strangers and will only go to you if she feels like it. She is quite clever and often figures out how to do things before Bagpuss. Despite his boistrous and outgoing nature, Bagpuss seems to follow Emily into new things.
We have recently had a cat-flap fitted and so the cats have a wonderful time getting into trouble and then tramping dirt through the house!!
